Lessons integrate multisensory auditory and visual review of sound/spellings, word spelling and handwriting, phonemic awareness, phonics, word decoding practice, grammar, punctuation, language arts, reading rules, word decoding practice (playing the phonics games and doing worksheets), teaching non-decodable words---all providing the preparation for success reading the story at the end of each lesson. Skills are also taught while reading the stories.
